Hello and thanks for reading a bit about me and why I do this wonderful job.

I’m Kath; tall, friendly and silver haired, with a love of chatting* and pastry.

(*I don’t chat during treatments though & afterwards stay quieter to allow you to remain snoozy!)

In my treatments I seek to promote balance and deep relaxation, and give you a chance to pause and focus on yourself.

I created The Sanguine Smith to support women of all ages through the changes & challenges of modern life.

— Kath Smith, Reflexologist & facialist

I first experienced the potential of Reflexology about 20 years ago when seeking out a holistic therapy to support me and help with relaxation during a really challenging time suffering from Endometriosis. The treatments felt really wonderful and I felt so calm and relaxed afterwards - although I wasn’t really sure how it worked!

Like many other Holistic therapists, being a Reflexologist and facialist is my second career. After gaining a degree in Fashion design, I spent two decades working as a pattern cutter and lecturer in the Fashion industry which was brilliant, but some big life changes and health challenges in my thirties made me pause, and assess where I really wanted to channel my energy going forward.

I kept coming back to my love of holistic therapies and passion for supporting women, so in 2016 I trained as a Reflexologist with Louise Keet at the London school of Reflexology.

I had my treatments after Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy, and I really feel it helped to rebalance my body. Kath works magic with her beautiful hands, and I would recommend her every single time.
— Theresa, 62 - Tailored Foot Reflexology

Once I gained my Diploma I knew there was no turning back from my love of holistic health and wellness, and I went on to gain further professional qualifications in Bergman method facial Reflexology and Zone face lift, hand Reflexology and Indian head massage.

And then in 2020, The Sanguine Smith was born.

Since launching The Sanguine Smith I realised that my clients had a real interest in holistic skincare and facials as a way of looking after their skin and themselves. This is an area I am very interested in, so in 2021 I completed a Facials qualification with the inspiring Katie White, founder of Re:lax London and added The Sanguine Smith facial to my treatment menu.

Last year I completed CPD training with Sally Earlham specialising in Foot Reflexology to support Perimenopause and Menopause, which is a really fantastic treatment.

I have also completed further training at Re:lax skin school in Gua sha and Facial cupping and have added a new facial to my treatment menu - the Gua sha ‘lift & glow’ facial, which is such a gorgeous treatment.

To the surprise of no-one who knows me, I can’t stay away from teaching and sharing knowledge - so I have started self care Facial workshops (at your home) so you can learn how to practice facial massage, Gua sha & Facial cupping at home with your friends and family!

Look forward to seeing you soon,

Kathx
